Oil leak *possible new info*

Picked the bike up today, had the following on my warranty repair slip:

Water pump assembly and all gaskets and seals replaced
Oil filter cap and o-ring replaced
Engine case casting porosity repaired per manufacturer instructions

Hopefully it's fixed, rode about 100 miles after picking it up and it's now sitting on stands in my garage waiting to cool off so I can check for leaks and install my cored exhaust by PHL.

Were you still under warranty when you got this done? My 2 year warranty expired in May and I do have an extended warranty. Just hoping they dont make a fuss since it is a track bike.
Came off the track and saw smoke from my exhaust because of oil dripping on it.

I was still under warranty yes. My bike was not leaking that bad, mine was also leaking from the left side. I would throw the stock body work and lights back on it if you have them before you go in for warranty work just to be safe though. Hope they can figure it out and get you taken care of.

Looks like it's coming from around the vertical head heat shield. Likely it's the inevitable cam cover gasket leak assuming no crash damage caused a leak elsewhere.

I searched and found a few more threads where people have seen this issue. Looks like it is the gasket leak. Bike has never been down, no oil leak before this either. Just got lucky that nothing got on the rear tire.
