Oldest 959 Panigale Riders show yourselves and share your experiences, wisdom and aspirations here. I"m 58 and loving every mile. Will be tracking this year also.

@DarR I'm 54.

I have had each iteration of the Triumph Daytona since 1997 and I had one Ducati 748S which I loved and wish I never sold but dollars were needed at the time so the toy had to go.

I'm currently trying to make up my mind on getting the 959 Panigale Corse or the V4 Panigale but really a fairer comparison I think would be the V4S Panigale but I just don't know if I can justify the $10K price difference (959 Corse vs V4S).

Which ever bike I get once I get comfortable with it on the back roads I will also take to the track for non-competitive lapping so I will be following your track adventures with interest.

I also have an 1199, will be turning 60 this year. With the shorter engine stroke (less low end torque), electronic ride modes and adjustable throttle response, I find the 1199 way easier to ride than my 1098.

My track adventures didn't materialize in 2017 but I have registered for a weekend superbike course this upcoming May 2018 and purchased the A* Track Vest 2 to fit under my leathers. In a few years, I may trade-in my 959 (which I love big time) for a V4. I'll still keep my Monster 1200R twin having the best of both worlds. I really like the V4S's electronic Ohlins suspension but may have to settle for the base model as the step-up in price may be hard for me to justify. However, If I was an avid track user and starting from scratch on a budget, I'd go for the 959 Corse and add carbon wheels. Having wrote that, If I take a real fancy to track riding, I may just upgrade my current Panigale in lieu of the V4.

I guess it only makes sense to have this open to all Panigales. I was 60 when I bought the bike, I’m 65 now. I ride the bike 4,000 miles a year like clockwork and can’t imagine ever wanting to get rid of the bike but I suppose at my age the day may eventually come.

My primary bikes are a 2015 BMW 1600GT, and I just bought a 2017 KTM Superduke GT (traded a BMW S1000R).

I'll be 52 just about when my V4S arrives. Let's call it a birthday present!

I also ride cruisers and touring bikes, so when I get too old or stiff to throw a leg over this one I'll have the others.

still riding

You guys are my hero :D. I'm only 54 and has been riding her(1299s) for almost 14K miles and counting. i also have 05 ZX6r for tracks which I'll do @ MSRH this coming weekend

47 and have a 2017 959. Completed two track days in 2018, one in the rain and one dry. Love the 959, but I took a V4 for a long test ride and thinking a V4S may replace the 959.

Bike #2 is a 2017 S1000R for "touring" :).
