So finally you like your 1199? That's nice to read. :)

+1 I agree.

See....... a little patience is a good thing. the 1199 is a wicked bike.

Can't say I agree with riding like that in traffic, are there really no closed or abandoned roads near you??? Maybe an old airport runway???

Personally I've had it upto 297 "on the clock" (not GPS)and I think the bike has more to give. Granted the speedo will be out by a few clicks but I'm not running race fuel either.

I've been waiting to give it another go as I would like to see the screen go (---) but circumstances have not been ideal the last 3 Fridays. 2 weeks with too much (cross) wind and have some sort of muscle sprain in my neck since last Tuesday. With a bit of luck maybe next Friday.

being a mid level rider. It is really nice to see some people who can really use the bike's potential in the highways and it makes me proud of my bike knowing that it can kick .... About Onearmbandit posting his speeding videos, Perhaps I belong to the few who likes it.

I too am happy to see a bike being used properly, BUT on the track.

I used to live in Surrey (a UK county) which was a mecca for bikers, some great roads and some great meeting places. Sadly in the last couple of years more and more speed restriction signs have gone up. Why? Because the people who live there got pissed that bikers were hairing through the quiet lanes at stupid speeds and so complained. The UK government has also announced that they are considering making the limit in rural areas 40mph maximum. Why? because of the high number of deaths and accidents in rural areas down to incorrect use of speed. Wales operated a zero tolerance speeding scheme recently, all because of bikers taking the piss when riding in that country. Some of the great UK roads like the Cat and Fiddle Pass are now laced with cameras and police in helicopters. All down to bikers, not just ignoring the speed limits but completely ignoring any common sense.

We bikers have to take a huge amount of the blame for this; people boasting and showing their speed on the highway do not help our cause. This is not a specific dig at OneArm, but all of us who ride like that.

Take it to the track and let the roads stay free for some fun, not become limited and policed for scooters only!

I wrote it, and I feel told off too! :D

It was not meant to sound like an old fart, but hopefully just some thoughts to ponder.

So I'm confused, last we heard the Kawi and the BMW were kicking the Pani's .... So much so that you were selling the bike. Now the top speed is 198?

If you read i hade to use race fuel MR12. As for me selling the bike it WILL NEVER HAPEND I JUST LOVE MY .... WAGON.;););)

i think that won't matter. it just needs to go over 190 mph

it just made me wonder. with the recent reviews of the Panigale being so different as to the initial press launch in Yas Marina Abu Dhabi. Are the bikes in the Yas Marina Circuit launch be so different with the bikes sold to the customers? majority of the writers stated that the Panigale will keep up, if not beat most of the I-4's out there(press launch) . but when customers got their hands in the Panigale, it is just not as fast in the straits as the writers described it to be.
