My 2020 V2 just had its first service. The biting point of the clutch used to be in the middle of the lever throw.

Now the lever disengages the clutch with very little movement as you pull it in. It makes feathering the clutch more difficult. In other words, the engine disengages from the transmission with very little pull on the lever. The friction point is at the beginning of the pull.

This seems to be the opposite issue of having air in the line and so you have to pull the lever all of the way in to disengage the clutch, if at all.

Is there any adjustment to this? It operates like a light switch - either off or on. Engaged or disengaged.

I could move the lever closer to the grip but that doesn’t seem like it would move the biting point.

What do you think?

Thank you! :)

On closer inspection, it looks like there may be a nut on the end of the piston which exudes out of the dust cover on the master cylinder, and the paint pen mark on that nut is moved.

Would turning that nut out move the bite point of the clutch toward the middle of the throw?

have you adjusted the handle with the knob on the front?

edit...in general, shortening the push rod is more play but i would look at the threads.

I’ve been researching it but no definitive answer yet.

It looks like the pushrod (piston) could be turned in and that would adjust the free play of the lever (that is, the biting point).

I’ll go shoot a few photos....

Here’s two photos of the brake side:

And here’s the clutch side:

The paint mark on the clutch side is 180 degrees on the other side. I’m deducing that the tech rotated the screw out 1/2 turn which took up the free play and made the clutch disengage immediately.

I’ll need a 6mm wrench I think to turn it back.

Do you fellas think I’m barking up the right tree here? Thanks. :)

shorten it a half turn and see what it feelz like. (i like that smooth initial bite.)
