Granted that I am old school and used to 996/998 and older ducatis, but calling $3500 a "DEAL" for just an exhaust system that drops a few pounds, adds 7-10 HP and makes the bike louder is by no means a deal.
At list price, the $5000 DP full exhaust system is 20%-30% of the entire motorcycle price (when New) and up to 30%-35% when talking pre-owned bikes.
We have to remember that no one else, but WE drive these prices. If the demand dropped the prices will fall..its that simple..
Would you pay $12,000-$15,000 for a full exhaust system on a corvette, or $15,000-$23,000 for a full exhaust system for a 911...I am assuming the answer is a big NO..no matter how silly you are with the money
Paying 20%-25% of Orig MSRP of the entire bike, just to get 3%-5% of original HP, and dropping 2%-3% dry weight makes no sense to me
I think I'll be going with the Evo myself... Even though I too wish Leo Vince would have come out with a system for the Panigale, their exhaust on my 848 is superb quality...
As 96tl said, how about that software, and what race filters is everyone installing with the upgraded exhausts?

The new reverse ....... one?I bought a brand new Termi full system recently for $1900 shipped . I thought that was very cheap
Hey guys.
For those of you with the full Akra Evo system, what are you doing for software? Leaving the stock map? Thx.
So the Akra Evo 1199 system is a direct fit to our 1299?
I found a few of these for $3300! Big price difference.
I also read some comments that the Akra system works fine with the OEM software. Not sure how true that is...
Thanks.

What the hell is a zeno system? If it's the evo system, on an 1199, it will not throw any codes....with or without a tune. Majority of dealers either
A) don't know ....
B) will tell u false info intentionally to upsell u on extra ....
If you remove the servo for the flapper valve without the proper map loaded, a code will be thrown. No check engine light, but an error code is logged. The servo has a feedback potentiometer, if the ECU orders the servo to rotate and there is no proper feedback, an error code is generated and logged. Don't know if the ECU takes further action when the error is detected.
I know this for sure, I installed the Full Akra Evo System in my 1299S and had to take the bike to the dealer to load, or rather unlock the proper map with the UP-MAP. The servo error code was there.
