I bought my 4s and love it, but can’t find any one with a black edition, are they a limited edition?

The only “black edition” is the V4SP. It only comes in satin black or “dark” paint. The dark, satin paint concept is derived from the “Winter Test” versions that are always black so to not disclose the new seasons paint scheme.

Is this the same bike?

looks like a 1 off from a private shop, not from the factory.

That's the one exactly, only mine has the full termignoni exhaust coming out the rear under the seat with the side vent

Just strange how it was registered black from factory ? As it does not show a colour change

Doesn’t really matter, you bought yourself a beautiful Ducati bro, it’s not a numbered or special addition bike but a lot of work has gone into the details of making that a beautiful bike none the less.

And frankly it’s probably got better components than if it were done by the factory.

Nice bike, enjoy it, and welcome to the Ducati Forum

That bike looks sick

Thanks - i love it, and its a real beauty - looking forward to getting out on the bike and just enjoying the ride

Nice looking bike and better equipped than off the factory floor

I don’t know how registration works over there, but I am guessing that since the colour change happened prior to its first registration it shows black as the original colour.

Not a factory bike, and it looks like a pre-2020 unit. Possible a crate leftover which was customized at the dealer. We'd need to see a VIN to be sure. That is not factory paint and the clear over decals is one of the clues.

Yeah, definitely not “factory”, but it looks great! I wouldn’t have put “Black Edition” on it as it immediately says aftermarket. It looks well done in the vid though, so ride and enjoy your unique bike!!!
