V4 or V4S

Each to their own I guess. Had my pani v4s for 17k kms now and it's the best, most comfy sport bike I've owned. Done multi day, 3-3500km road trips with no freeway several times now and rarely do anything but full days out on the road. The electronic suspension is unreal for the road especially if you like riding different surface qualities, changing to different setup modes etc. Same goes for the engine mapping but both v4 and v4s have this obviously. I have a dedicated track bike so don't need this thing for the track. Can't stop thinking about making it one though..

Totally agree, the stock S is an awesome sportsbike, and if I had my time over I wouldnt even bother with blinging it except maybe a slip on, because the enjoyment of riding is the same.

Definitely. I did add a full system and a couple of little bits of carbon, like the full size hugger after the exhaust install, but the ride is what its about. Just plain beautiful and especially when you're up it a bit. Everything just gels. Never got this feeling over many s1000rr's.

I think some of that is relative to your body dimensions. My riding buddy rides his 1198 on twisty stuff (375-400 miles a day) but he's 3 inches taller than me. I prefer bars above the triples to travel with. But I'm old so clipons ouch. But the geometry of my bike is now the same as a Pani so it works pretty good (actually it's a weapon). The .9 bar radiator cap would open (single drop) in a hot soak after parking it (fans running). So I went to the 1.1 bar. If you're going to buy a used Pani to use as a track bike change the oil pump to the newest rev (maybe wait for the 2025's are released I bet there's another rev). These guys have rev'ed the pump 3 times as far as I can tell. So they know they have a problem.

Apart from the whole package which is very refined, I think a lot of the soul comes from the 70 degree crankpin offset which allows the 4 to mimic the sound and feel of the twin.

Yeah for sure. I'm 48, 5"10 and long legs / short torso. Had to run tall seats on my S1000's to get comfortable leg room and half decent ergos. Was worried about going to the pani until I sat on one. As soon as I sat on it it felt like a glove and I knew ergonomically it was going to be good, for me.

Not going into rad caps and oil pumps though 😂

Maybe. I'm not privy enough to make comment but yes, it feels brilliant.

My partners 21 RSV4 engine wise feels completely different to ride. I really enjoy the engine in it also (not the ergos) but for the same capacity and engine configuration the difference is incredible.

I'm just sticking that in your head if you do get a track bike. I actually wish I had bought a Pani instead but my bikes sorted now. The V4's are way too fast for the street, just ridiculous.

Well, the new fugly 25’ was the clincher, put a deposit down on a V4S while they are still available. Local dealer said he has no more allocations anywhere for the 24’ and other dealers are calling for inventory to swap. The 25’ may be a few .01’s faster and newer gee whiz but the looks 😑

I agree, the ‘25 really sold me on the ‘24.. 🤣

Stopped by my dealer in the Bay Area a few weeks back and they have one more 24 left with no more allocations to come. Asked the sales person about how the 25 has been received and he wasn’t too enthusiastic about it. Seems a lot of customers aren’t keen on the looks and the DSSA. Also this dealer is right down the street from Ducati NA. Bikes should be arriving in the dealers around mid Oct allegedly
