Panigale Aero Kit

I think I got it. Its the longer spoiler under the lights right. If that's it I think it looks better with out. Its too square for the Panigale.

It's the added bit of fairing to the left and right side of the windscreen. See that seam where it looks like there is another piece of fairing added on to each side to make the front end wider? Those bits.

BTW - just saw someone sold a set on the classifieds for $155. Not bad!

If you're referring to my classified listing, I actually lowered the price to $125 shipped. Still a decent deal for something I won't ever use and cheaper for the buyer than picking up a pair from the factory.

Thanks, Duck! I have a set of white ones that I'd part with for around that kind of money so if anybody is reading and wants them let me know!

maybe time for a sticky :D

True and thanks Moderator and Sr. Troll Trauma! If we didn't constantly rehash things we'd run out of stuff to talk about though. :)

Yea, been kinda slow of late. I'm soooo close to putting these things on, then another thread, and I hesitate :)

I never considered them and tried to sell them or trade them for Termi slips to no avail. I forgot about them until this thread and was about to list them in classifieds and then someone said to save them for the next owner so I paused again. Who knows. :)

IMO, saving them for the next owner is the best idea.
Of course, that's if you're inclined to sell it.
Personally, they'll be prying the key out of my cold dead hand:D
Until then I am committed to being the custodian of this wonderful machine for future generations.

I think it makes it look staunch, I would buy some in white if there are any going out there, PM me if you wish to sell some.

I think I may have said this before, but you can use these with minimal paint scratch by smoothing out any rough spots from the injection mold along the edges of contact. these come pretty rough and unfinished on the mating edge causing paint scratch, I used fine wet sand paper to prep, just like taking off flash on a plastic model kit assembly part.

I am keen if you do want to sell them? Shipping to New Zealand an option? If not Austin Texas (have family there). Will PM you also.

Cheers Carl

This might have been asked, but i can't seem to find it.

What's the use of this aero kit? Better wind resistance??

Yup

Thanks!

Gunny, I thnk better to keep them for when you sell, worth more as a selling point I think. People like to get all the original gear with the bike.

Opened the box with these again, and they are still wrapped up nice and tight with the original packaging and all. I do understand what you say about a potential buyer wanting all the stock parts with the bike - but I have actually sold quite a bit of them already. Not sure if these parts would change any of that if / when sale time comes (Which I have been debating very hard these last few months!!) I am NOT looking to return the Tri to its stock appearance before a sale and fully understand that those who sell a bike with tons of aftermarket "bling" attached - normally do not get anything in return for all these parts.

With that being said, I understand thats the price I pay I guess (no pun) therefore, I just have to take what I can get for an absolutely PRISTINE 2012 1199s Tricolore with about 10k worth of cool and useful aftermarket parts and accessories attached to it. **BTW this is NOT a classified post! :D

I think one day soon I may put a "feeler" out here to see what folks think its worthy of paying for. All the "original members" of this forum, who have been here since Day 1 of it's existence-like me, know what care, love, and money I put into this machine after following its build process over time. I know those of you truly know what its honestly worth in theory- but will just have to prepare myself for the ugly and offensive offers (no offense) to anyone who decides to make any offer whatsoever on its worth. :roll eyes:

As Forrest Gump always said............Thats all I have to say on that.

A few of the high res pics taken long ago. Including one that won "Bike Of The Month" on Ducati.Org despite some ridiculous drama. :D
