Ok, so he has the counter steering down.

Biggest problem was he forgot one option; use the breaks. Miraculous things they are, he could have stopped when he first saw the van, before the intersection, or he could have reduced speed and followed the van. Adding throttle is not an option as I see it.

ABS not a factor as at 40 he have plenty of room. Thinking of the van he passed was more than likely some distance back as he went by quickly. Saying they were going about the same speed would mean he wouldn't of passed he.

Final judgment is this guy shouldn't have a license for anything let alone MC.

Yeah, yesterday while going home and before entering an intersection and going 35, no matter how the situation is Brakes would be my option and not gunning and like everyone says you should know your surroundings and have an idea how far that van is behind him.

He couldn't use the brakes because he would low-side. It must be hard to ride a superbike in town without being able to use the brakes. Unfortunately his problem is magnified because he also low-sides when he uses the throttle.

so here's the guy's "breakdown" of what happened, but what it really sounds like is excessive pride/ego/bs, lack of reflection of his own actions, lack or responsibility. it sounds like he learned nothing from this except that it's the world's fault this crash happened. i'm sure he will crash more bikes unfortunately..

It's a miracle this moron is still alive, he used the word assume over and over, and acts like he's in a jacked up 1 ton 4wheel drive, instead of a motorcycle in traffic. He has to be a dip .... kid, hope he lives through it.
