It's a beauty! Where'd you get the red tape and did you install it yourself?

Ok I think this bar end mirror set up just did it for me. Those LED turn signal indicators INSIDE of the bar end piece are badass!!

Does anyone know who makes those and where this dude can get his grubby mitts on a set?

Thanks!:D

Cougar vs. Panigale

Not a good end for either.

Cougar-dead
Panigale-totaled
Rider-broken wrist now with a titanium accessory.

I've always been aware/worried about deer, but I never thought about a cougar taking me out. I didn't even get a chance to test the ABS. Cougar came running onto roadway from a ravine directly in front of me. I hit it dead center causing me and the Pani to flip. I landed on my ass and feet on the roadway. My once beautiful bike landed on it's rear wheel, turning it into a pretzel, then on it's left side snapping over to it's right side and coming to a rest on the side of the hill about eight feet away from the now dead cougar. I broke my wrist on impact with the cougar, It snapped my left clip on right off the fork.
I've been riding on the street and track for over 30 years and never had a cougar encounter. Hopefully I'll never have another. But this is a good example why I'm a firm believer in all the gear, all the time.

Whoa, when you said cougar I was thinking car until I saw the fur...

Or an older sexually aggressive woman tried to tackle you as you rode by. :)

Sorry to hear about your bike and wrist, but from the looks of that bike you came away pretty good. Hope it heals up soon.

We all thought it is was, but now there's proof. It really is a pussy magnet...

Yeah, I thought it might even be cool until he showed that pic where her fur got caught in the wheel. Then I threw up in my mouth a little bit..

:)

waw... that looks heavy... sometimes you must be lucky to control the damage!
cheers!

Holy moly!

I would hang that cougar's head on my living room.

I am glad to hear that you are ok. I was little bummed today because I low sided this weekend. Nothing big...just a extreme lean with little dirt made the bike slide under me....

Some cosmetic damages but all the protectors (bike and leathers) did do their jobs, but this is nothing compared to your event.

Your story and pictures reminds me always to wear all gears like always do.

Thanks for sharing and hope you get well soon!
