So the KTM in your opinion is more reliable, more fun to ride, performs better and you prefer it over the bike that this forum is about.

Interesting.

I think it's a better racebike. The problems don't end on my 1199. I love it, but you definitely have to want it, because it's not a very durable product.

Some highlights are factory adjustable riding height, , rake, footpegs, clip-ons, AND swingarm geometry. My 1199 is a street bike, plain and simple. And the biggest thing is the feedback, you feel like you're in a cockpit. If you look at the seating position and tank/tail height, you'd know what I mean.

They do make good stuff. Heck, when I pulled the radiator off my SF to fix it I was shocked to see KTM stamped in it. Even Ducati must realize they make good stuff since they put a KTM radiator on their bikes.

You can also reset your own service lights :O.

Insofar why do I not have a street legal RC8R?

The availability of parts and rarity of dealerships. Took me a year to get a fiberglass seat after I crashed...

KTM makes a hell of a dirt bike, IMO. I was close to buying a 450 SX, but I couldn't pull the trigger because of the logistics needed to enjoy it (trailer it an hour or two out of town, etc. just to ride it). I have a buddy with a Husaberg and that thing is really, really sick. If I lived in the sticks, I'd post my Pani in the classifieds and pick one up for sure, but we don't have anywhere decent around here to ride them.

I had a guy blow by me on 66 a couple months ago on a black RC8R.

I just posted my dealership carries these along with Triumphs. They had a big sale on the 2012 250 for like $5K - I almost bought it ("just because I could" - ha)

Nice! I know the guys over on the SF forum are salivating over the new Duke..

Yeah I creamed myself when I saw that. I want!

I think my trusty old SF is in trouble. Since they dropped the 1098 version I don't see how Ducati can keep up with the large nakeds. Between this and the Tuono I don't think the baby SF can keep up.

Here is my new "Pani"

Upgrades:
Ohlins front inserts
Ohlins TTX rear shock
Ohlins stering damper
Werkes tydy tail

I love this bike, can't wait to take this baby to COTA in June!!!

BTW, turns out the Panigale radiator is WP as well. Funny how that works.
