I find a belt sander accomplishes the same thing (ie removing chicken strips) and is MUCH MUCH cheaper than a track day

It has nothing to do with how well you ride... Despite being one of the other younger active members (close to your age) I emphasize with the older members with the unsolicited comments. If I gave you ...., I'd expect it back. Not all the people here care for it. In fact it's amusing, I was doing the same thing more or less months ago until I gauged the audience.
