Bugatti Veyron with me in it: 500 bhp/tonne
Ducati Panigale with me on it: 696 bhp/tonne (curious number!)

That's 139% of the P:W ratio of a Veyron (just imagine what we could do if we could keep the front wheel down!)

*calculated with my 185lbs in the saddle plus 18 pounds of gas and riding gear.

i wanna see a pic of you in your veyron ;)

I, too, wonder how fast the 1199 would be if someone just put a wheelie bar on back and ran it stock.

I thought I read somewhere that it has the power to weight ratio of a F1 car?... Can anyone confirm this?

I think F1 cars make way more that 1000Hp's per ton!
From what i know an F1 car weighs around 650-700Kg's and they make around 1000Hp's.

The information should be no surprise. Acceleration tests are extremely close between the two. The Veyron achieves a much high top speed largely because top speed is not nearly as tied to power to weight as acceleration is, so it's far superior hp and likely aerodynamics carries it another 70 or so mph faster.

We need a few 1199 vs Veyron videos.... I'll get started on that. I have a friend who is fairly well known for his Veyron antics. Maybe he would agree to a few races.
It's going to scare the crap out of me when it's wind blast passes me on it's way to 250+
