Trying out my new GoPro HD2 at a track day at Motorsports Park Hastings yesterday. First had it mounted to the inside of the DP racing screen like this:

Looks good! Can't wait to try one out on track. How do the stock forks handle track duty for us 190 pounders?
 
Great video's! Looks like an excellent day to be at the track.

Of the two views I prefer the tank mount view myself. Doesn't have the glare from the windscreen.

The stock Marzocchis are great, they're sprung perfectly for me at 190 lbs. The damping control and adjustability are as good as any stock forks I've ever ridden on, I've been really impressed with them.
 
I like it! The tank video is the most appealing to me. I like how you can see the dash and get a feel for the bike more as a viewer.

I shot a vid of me on the Belgian racetrack Zolder a few days ago with a Contour HD mounted on the tank. I will upload a few laps soon

is it me or the sound disapears for most of the video?

btw, I know I would have sneaked a past in the corner at 1:20. It's just so tempting! (and dangerous)
 
Yes, DTC is off, doesn't work with my Bridgestone tires.
 
The DTC system is mapped to the Pirelli tires (OEM Supercorsa SP's in Level 2-8, SC2 compound race tires in Level 1), in the 200/55 rear tire size. I'm running a 190/55 Bridgestone R10 tire and it's too different in size and grip from the Pirelli for the DTC system to be usable, I tried it but the response was not predictable and it was over-reacting on most corner exits by cutting in too often. I'm at least a second a lap faster with it off, but have to be more careful with the throttle. I'll be putting the Nemesis TC system on there as soon as they have the Panigale kit available.
 
Hey Jarel, I'm also a fan of the r10's but want to run dunlop US or UK's on the bike for a trial run. Have you tried them with TC on?
 
Nope, only ridden on the Bridgestone R10's and Slicks.
 
Hi Jarel, have you tried the tail mounted perspective facing your back? That's always one of my favorites for MotoGP. I use it as a training tool for body position, etc plus it picks up lean angles and sound the best IMO.

Not yet, once I get my tail painted then the suction cup will probably stick to it so I can try that.
 
Hi guy's,

I tried my Panigale on Brno last week - using UK KR106/108 with DTC on,

I will upload a vid in a few days showing the DTC activity on the track.

Conclusion: DTC is usable i level 1 witch worked ok for me. As you will see on the vids - DTC is very active in every corner - but hard to feel..... that is - difficult to know if the lack of power was due to DTC or low midrange torque :rolleyes:
