Hey Guys! I just got my Panigale R 2013!!!!

I need to make a 13hrs trip to get it. My friend is going to help me with the transportation. He has a diesel truck 2012 GMC Sierra 2500 HD
What kind the cover should I buy for the 13 hrs trip???
I really need a good one!
Please let me know guys!

When I transport mine in the back of my 2011 I don't use a cover. Very little of the bike is above the roof of the truck so the is no need for it. The problem with a cover is the damage it may cause to the paint due to flapping from the wind.
I would take a chance without the cover. JMHO

Agreed, the flapping cover would cause more damage then nothing at all.

A cover will chaffe the .... out of it, if your worried about rain and snow you could spray it down with baby oil, or pam, it will clean right up when you get it home.

Congrats & I believe your signature should be "living" the dream instead of "leaving"....

Unless Kate Upton dumped you. Then yes. You are leaving the dream.

Yes you're right!!!!! Haha! grazie!!!

Agreed, no cover. The bikes going to get all rock chipped from normal riding anyways. It's safer in the bed of a truck than a normal day of riding.

Worried about salt? I heard Lemon Pledge is the way to go. Spray, and Wipe down the whole bike. Pressure wash gently when you get home. (I use the spray wax setting to seal up eveything, then wipe off spots with a buffing rag and Meguires spray wax)

Your only going to be this excited in the first 100 miles as far as being meticulous on your bikes condition. As others stated rock chips and so on will be inevitable. But for your first 100 miles of excitement buy a bed sheet for 15-20 bucks and cover the bike then use a all wether bike cover and tighten it. That's more then enough to get you home. And if money isn't an object to you buy the dp dust indoor cover and then a all weather cover on top.

Congrats on your purchase !

The bed of a pick-up is actually pretty safe against debris or water becaus of the wind-shelter the cab provides.

The only time I'd make an attempt at covering a bike is if road salt is involved. And if it were, just wait a week.

Like others have said, no cover. Just be sure to tie any slack from the tie downs. I've scratched my previous bike before from the slack flapping around in the wind.

Thank you so much!!! We drove 28hrs! 14hrs each way!
I did not put any cover and the bike looks fine after the trip.
You guys help me a lot!
Thanks!
