Not buying either at 5k+ ... but if i was forced, i'd take Akra because it's so much cleaner and leaves beautiful clean tail section alone.

Let's hope Termi got another one up their sleeve that is more street oriented.

tbh I prefer the exit off the termi moreso then the akra.

If the termi didn't stick out so far in the undertail, it would be an option for me. Also, that big ugly carbon fiber panel is just bad, I think they should have made the piping routing more aesthetic somehow rather than just going, "uhhh let's cover it up with a huge panel and call it a day." While I intend on setting her lose on some track days, my V4 is mostly a street/commuter machine and I can't afford to have something that could block the brake light from any direction at all.

you're not looking at the latest version which cleans the look greatly. however it's still looks pretty weird and definitely not spending 5k for it.

I was referring to this one.

That big panel attached to the passenger seat peg mounting point is a really lazy way to deal with the goofy piping.

See if they could just replicate that bottom section on both sides that would look like a winner

  • First question. How much of the rear light is obscured, UK police might not look favourably on this set-up?
  • Second, where and how are you going to route wiring past the rear silencer box for the number plate light and rear indicators? (maybe in a fireproof tube like the 999)

I agree with Mutt though. Wish they had spent a bit more time working out how to make it twin side exits on the LH & RH side of the bellypan. Overall it's better than the version on the Barni racing bikes we saw a few weeks back but I don't see how this is going to get past the issue with the rear light being partially obscured in the UK.

Any leads on race plastics besides CRC?

This might be considered spam..but I'm new and I make them. Still havent seen anything else besides the Barni team and a set from the same moulds on another forum.
Please contact me if you are interested.

What do you have? What material, carbon, abs, fiberglass? Any pictures of work you've done in the past? Pre-drilled w/perfect fit???? :D

They are made of fibreglass, weave fabrics only no chopped strands, and with epoxy resin, similar to sharkskinz.
At the moment doing carbon is cost wise difficult, as there goes a lot more time into making them to line up the fibres, and then it is just as easy to just buy fairings from Fullsix for instance, when they come out.

They are fully pre drilled, fitted with DZUS fasteners, and finished in a black primer, and there is no need to fiddle with them on the bike like having to cut pieces off to get them to fit.

In the picture below the V4 with the Akrapovic exhaust, the bellypan for the stock exhaust is also available.
I also have the 959/1299 fairings and the 899/1199 which you can also see below.
The 1199 and 1299 were quite easy to make moulds for but the V4 was a real pain as there was so much that had to be changed to turn it into a usable race fairing.
