Development and test prints continue.... We are moving to a configurable setup where you can change the stack height to suit your preference/customize based on what sort of tank extender you may be running.

final product will have a 'base' that screws onto the OEM seat pad. Then you have 1 inch 'discs' (as many as you want) that plug into the base and/or each other like Lego pieces. Once you get your desired stack height you finish off by plugging in a 'finisher/end piece' which will have an embossed Ducati logo.

Very close to final version and very good engineering. My buddy is talented with 3d design and print.

Here's the production version. You can stack the base + 1/.75/.25 inch to get desired level of back support. The end cap is rounded and base and each disc have threaded holes for stainless Allen hardware.

Looks like it will work well. You have a link to purchase?

Here is the final production spec mounted on the bike and what it looks like. I used a 3/4 inch spacer and the 1/4 inch end cap for a total of 1 inch extension from the base. I have another 1 inch spacer to add if needed but I don't imagine I'll need it. This is a pretty confined seating area and makes a huge difference - frees up upper body to be light on the bike instead of holding on tight just to stay in place.

From a design and function point

i would recomend having a wider support

i think it would look better, and work better

I agree with you. There are other options that are wider, but none extend far enough and require different tails/seat combos.

This specific piece was designed to be easy to mount to a stock tail/stock seat bike and provide adjustability.

How tall are you?

5' 5"

Height has a lot to do with it no doubt. However, I think street bike tail/ergonomics have a bigger part to play. Even if you are taller, the street bike seat/tail section of the V4 offers very little support when you get on the gas hard and 230hp is lifting your front wheel. You end up holding on with your arms/upper body which introduces series of problems including fatigue.
