I was told the same twice!
once from a car dealer when I was looking for a used BMW Z4, one week later I bought a brand new one from another dealer.
second from a bike dealer when I was on uniform, he thought I was a broke soldier. bought a new GSXR750 two weeks later from another dealer.

In the two cases I went to the idiot dealers and pulled some "Julia Roberts Pretty woman You work on commission Big big mistake" payback.

If you can afford it, it does not mean you need to throw extra $ for nothing.
Not talking about billionaires kids who wipe their arse with $ bills.
