Pickup my Base 1199 Saturday morning!

OK , finished my first bit of riding today with around 120 miles on it. Hooked battery up to charger. ( pigtail was included ) Came in for about 30 min , and said " .... this , I'm going back out ! " LOL , ended up with 178 on the odo. ( showed 8 miles on the clock when I picked it up ). Love this bike ! Sounds so bad-ass ! Kinda like a mix between a helicopter and an airboat ! Sounds crazy cool ! Tons of power. Switched sport to 195HI , for a little quicker response. No smoke , did'nt burn any oil ( surprising ) , smooth gearbox , DQS is frikkin awesome ! Did'nt try it till my clutch hand cramped up into a shriveled up little monkey paw from all the work I was putting to the tranny. Bike is quick to get to 6k rpms. Can't wait to see what happens around 10k ! How the hell do I turn on my highbeams ? Bought an oil filter from the dealer , $37.00 after tax ! Gonna put my 3M tankslapper on tomorrow. Awesome , awesome bike ! Did have an issue of repeated hesitation in first gear during takeoff. No matter what I tried , seemed to have a flat spot around 2 or 3k rpms. If you don't have yours yet , you're gonna frikking love it !

Ran the odo up to 250 today ! Getting there. No more hesitation in 1st. Found the high beam control. Can't wait to get the break-in service done , and open this thing up ! Can't believe how fun this thing is to ride ! Some dude and chick passed me in a car today. As they drove past , the girl in the backseat snuck a little finger wave at me on the sly. LOL. Gotta love them hoes !

Dude, pay real attention when you get to the 7000 r's range. You will not believe the acceleration after 7000. Hold on and lean forward, front end will loft quick. Don't know what bike you had before . I put 45000 miles on a 996. My 1199 makes that feel like a John Deere tractor. I've been riding for decades and still have not got mine to redline in any gear on the street. It's the most incredible bike.
