Recently I acquired a few tools that I absolutely love. Thought I'd share:
First up:
After Gecko's visit to the Nepros factory, I bought their 3/8" 72-Tooth Gear Grip Ratchet. If you've never used one of these before, you're missing out. Helps when you have a bolt you're wrenching on in a tight area that's too hard to tighten/loosen with your hand, but too loose to tighten with the wrench. It's also great to use in lieu of a T handle allen wrench (when used in combination with allen sockets).
In your hand it feels like a $250 part. And 72 teeth...god damn I said god damn. If a robot surgeon ever visited from the future, this would no doubt be in his toolkit. Best tool I have ever owned. And it's only $33 on Nepros' website. Link to buy is here.
Nepros Socket holder:
I hate every socket holder I've ever owned. They either require Herculean grip to remove a socket or the socket clips turn flaccid with age, spilling sockets all over the bottom of your tool box. Nepros' are made of some type of urethane plastic that's grippy and has just the right amount of tension. Again, these things have a precision of a B&R watch.
ACDelco ARM602-4 1/2-Inch Torque Measurement Adapter 4-147.6 ft-lbs
There are all kinds of things that can go wrong with torque wrenches, most notably, leaving them 'wound up' like I always do. Additionally, you may have 'gaps' in torque capabilities, like having a 3/8" that operates between 5-30 ft.lbs and a 1/2" that operates between 45-180 ft lbs. This thing has a huge range and I checked it's accuracy against my wrenches and it was dead-on. Another feature that rocks is it beeps with increasing frequency as you get close to your setting. And it's far easier to transport than a 2.5' long wrench.
Alright guys....your turn. Post pics of your favorites!
