Pictures of a fogged dash

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

Typical Italian bike, it's cold enough, damp enough and guess what? It doesn't fog now.
Anyway, it's hardly an issue when it occurs.

Brought my bike in for the 41-t sprocket conversion, first thing my dealer did was take a pic of the dash and ordered a new one, without me even mentioned it yet.
Find a good dealer instead of a random fog pic.

No worries Frosty you can have this forum all to yourself so you can continue to behave like children.

Some people did try to help, and my dealer today said I didn't need a pic, he would order it if I was having sporadic issues. You dealer is the porblem here, not a handful of words on a forum. Just ignore! Why did you come back?

STW,

C'mon go back to harassing Rich and leave me alone.

You need to learn stick to the topics instead of personal attack on posters.

For what its worth my dealer finally accepted the pic I took from my bike and my dash was replaced.

Dude.... everyone here knows you were asking other members to join you in a possible fraudulent act..i.e, Take a picture of a fogged dash that isnt yours... and then you attack Frosty???

I am not attacking you..I am simply stating a fact.....

Good, now that my problem is resolved you can move on to your day job of attacking other members .

Here is some very useful information. All threads will go from bad to worse. That's how this forum works. The fact that he didn't think of taking a picture of his bike is one thing but I doubt he was/is making fraudulent claim.

"Thanks for the very helpful suggestions, i already sent pic to dealer but he wants something more clear and since this is intermittent i would like to get this covered before my warranty expires."

I did take a picture but dealer reject it after a week wanted a better picture, dealer claims Ducati couldn't clearly identify the fogged area, in my case the entire dash was fogged so it was difficult to see the contrast.

I ended up making a color copy of the pic and encircled the fogged area in red then sending a pic of that to the dealer and this was accepted by Ducati.

So the original pic was rejected but the pic of a printout of the very same picture was accepted.

In any event my problem is now solved so no everyone can move on.

It is interesting the comments about fraudulent activity in my asking for a pic yet on this forum there are many discussions and suggestions by the very same members requesting copies of workshop manuals and removing/modifying emissions equipment.

I love the way you say its all sorted and lets move on... and then make a parting shot at other members.... Classic...

Not a parting shot just stating facts!!! So please move on to target someone else.

omg, you were so shooting - this is 90% of the problem here, needing the last word, showing off, seriously should have stopped when you said resolved, why do you really care what Stw thinks? Is he your dad, a job interview with him tomorrow? Wanna date him? I advised to ignore. Feel free to "attack" me, I will not respond.

Maybe you should re-read this thread to determine the real show-offs the obnoxious ones the ones that regularly trample over most threads without adding real value.

How exactly is removing emissions equipment fraud? Dying to know.

Apparently none of you people know the definition of fraud but this ain't it!
Why in the hell would someone need to file a fraudulent warranty claim? It's not like you get to keep the original one.... To OP- sorry for the barrage of personal attacks. It's a major problem on this forum. We post an experience or situation, or seek help/advice and get attacked. Gotta love the Internet. Glad your dealer is helping you out. Good luck in your future forum use :)

So using a 3rd party photograph of a problem you claim to have, to substantiate a warranty claim isn't fraudulent in your book???

So if I wanted to claim on my insurance for damage to my bike is it ok with you if I photograph any other 1199 and use that as "evidence" of the damage???
