Hey anyone got a pic or know of how the pillion seat works on the V4 ?

Pillion Seat?? what pillion seat?? i told my wife it's a sportbike, only come with single seat!! :D:D still got the pillion seat and cover in the box, in the back of the trunk, need to move it to store room secretly before wife find out she could ride on it.....:p:p:p

My local shop has their base setup with pilliom seat I can take a couple of pictures if any would like.

I am also confused why the base comes with color matched front fender and S comes with black plastic. I would have thought by seeing them side by side it would be reverse?

Pillion seat is a very easy install. Right foot peg not so much. Had to cut an Allen key short to get to one the the bolts so as not have to pull the exhaust shields off.
Anyway the seat is a bad joke as it is that flexible that it pops out of its rear locator when riding with a pillion and my wife is only 50 kgs. I think it will be the first and last time it gets used anyway as the missus just wanted to go for a spin with the shiner new bike.

I will mention it when I take it to the dealer but not too bothered by it.

On a side note funnily enough I have never had a bike so confident riding 2 up.

yes I got the base model & was very pleased to see it has a nice red front fender compared to the more expensive s model wots that all about,.
I did fit the pillion seat & foot pegs to mine it only took 30mins ,the only hard bit was one of the allen bolts is very close to the exchaut cover wen fitting the rite hand foot peg ,I just cut an allen key down to get between the cover & bolt,it is quite a big thick looking seat not like they normaly look, so now its run in the wife wont be going on it again lol I have took it off because I will only be using it on track days , I have a foto of it but don't no how to put it on this site

I know this was a while ago, but did the seat feel wobbly? It feels like it won't come off, but it rocks from side to side.

(Before anyone gives me grief for taking a pillion, my daughter wants me to take her to school on it for Father's Day breakfast. It will come off after that :) )

Did the pillion seat come included with your purchase of the bike? I just bout a 19 v4S and it came with nothing.. not even an owners manual. I’m planning to inquire at the dealer

Did ur bike come with rear foot pegs but no rear seat
Mine came with:
- both pillion footpegs,
- seat,
- under-seat panel mount,
- 1 left side under-seat panel
- "2" right side under-seat panels (??).

I used it to give my 11 yo girl a dink to school every now and then. Unfortunately the right pillion peg fell off (it's hard to tighten one of the peg bolts as it's so close to the heat shield). If anyone's throwing their right pillion peg away, let me know ;-)

Yes it was wobbly and it used to pop out of the catch at the rear. I complained to Ducati and they replaced it with a modified version that was just as wobbly but did not pop out at the rear.
