Pillion Seat on V4

If the rear seat is properly installed it will not "pop" out. It might take a little extra force pushed rearward to fully engage the lock pin. I found that if I didn't push back hard enough it wouldn't latch completely. Try lubing the latch pin with a little grease too.
 
It did pop out even when located properly. The plastic in the base of the seat was to thin and soft and would flex to the point of piping out and Ducati have an updated pillion seat which is stiffer. Not much but enough.
