Help Support Ducati Forum:

I'm in South Florida.Although annoying sometimes, the heat issue shouldn't dissuade your decision to buy.Stop and go riding sucks with any sportbike especially a Ducati. There are good things and bad things with any motorcycle. The good definitely outways the bad. I took TWO demo rides and did NOT like this motorcycle. The demo ride was on city streets near the dealer and didn't provide me with a good impression.A few months later I bought one anyway!!! I couldn't stand the idea of not owning this motorcycle(1st Ducati). Anyway, Riding this bike on open roads at speed is a marvelous experience. I say go for it. It's expensive to maintain. But does provide a million dollar thrill every time I ride it.

"Bla bla bla.... I have this bike I don't ride, this other bike I don't ride. I have always wanted to buy a ducati so i wont ride it like my other bikes... I have owned 15+ bikes over the years but my dealer will not let me test drive a Panigale.."

I will say this on behalf of everyone here.... take your ........ talking ass out of here with your 3 posts on this forum. You are an idiot and please do us all a favor and do not ever buy a ducati..... your 15 other bikes you don't ride are plenty.

Thanks and good bye.

Please gentlemen.... call these idiots out.

wording is strong, but not without a point.

i recalled a conversation with a random dude:
dude:" why do you buy that Ducati?, it uncomfortable, hot and overpriced"
me:"i know, it's clearly not designed for women"(no offense to the girls out there, you get my point"

i learned along time ago that if you buy a sport bike, you should throw all of the reasons out the window and follow your passion, only then you are satisfied with your choice.

i do hope that you would get the Pani, fall in love with the bike and ride more

i live in nyc and its cold here right now. my comment is this. why is the heat issue so overblown? the bike does get hot if you wear shorts and your in FL so you may do this. if you wear jeans its not hot at all. I does get 100 here in ny and 90s consistently which i do ride in and the bike throws some heat if your wearing shorts. I must admit i do wear shorts but then its for short rides only. the heat comes for me the clutch cover area. you can feel it on your calf badly after about 45 min. i wear riding jeans never had a problem and if your in leathers you wont have a problem either.

Shorts and tennis shoes are not a good idea on this bike it does get hot but should you really be riding a sport bike in this anyway?

There is no "fix" for the heat other than not riding in traffic and wearing proper gear. Jeans/traffic/Florida the bike gets hot regardless of wrap or anything else.......
Have to agree it doesn't sound like the bike for you.

Maybe he left... hopefully... Im thinking he went to go dust off his 2007 R1 with 248 miles. Who buys a damn R1 and after 6+ years only clocks 248 miles on it? Tell me I am not the only one who thinks the OP is a tool, a liar or both?

Ridiculous..

This is true, 250 miles is about enough to get me to the nearest twisties and get in a decent ride twice. 248 miles that R1 isn't even due for it's first service yet.

Well thanks for showing me at least one douce bag exists on this forum. Every other person has been helpful and very pleasant so I won't waste much time dealing with you. If you could read, I've owned 15 bikes over my life span douce, not currently. Thanks to everyone else for your help and advice, I'm picking up my 2013 this week. I appoligize I offended you so much "thomaskenyon" that you had to go on an online forum to show what a ....... you are. Not exactly sure what your accusing me of lieing about and next time, dont quote .... that i havent said. Your attempt at paraphrasing is borderline autistic behavior. I can only assume you have a 7th grade education so any additional correspondence with you would be futile. People like you aren't worth the energy so I'm done with you.

Again thanks to everyone else for your time and help!

I have the race seat, which is thicker, and added heat reflective tape on the bottom of the seat. This has helped with the heat.

Please withdraw the "autistic" comment. That is very offensive to the Special Ed community which my wife if part of, and certainly to the individuals that are in the autistic spectrum.

I have always dreamed of owning a Ducati.

There is your answer Lawenforcer! You said it yourself! If you have the money, and the will to ride and enjoy it. It will be worth your while. Worst case you can always resell and with as few bikes have been made worldwide, you won't have a problem reselling... ESPECIALLY in Florida. Don't buy the bike you can live with, buy the one you can't live without

Congrats on the new Pani! I hope you ride and enjoy it as much as...well most of us here on this forum!

Ha Ha Ha! Is this dude for real? Let me point out a few things about your initial post and where you have made a few grave errors..

First of alll, I noticed in your initial post that you asked for "honesty"... I gave it to you. I honestly said you were an idiot. Dont ask for something and get irritated because you receive it.

Your request to a forum full of Ducati guys requesting us to "sell you on a Panigale" is just silly. Do you have similar threads over on the Ferrari forums asking those guys to "sell you on the Ferrari 458?" I would not be the least bit shocked if you did.

I will go out on a limb and say, with confidence, that every person on this site believes this.. If you have to be "sold" on a Ducati, you should just stick with your two bikes you never ride.

And my final thought... Until you learn how to spell simple words such as "douche" and "lying", it is smart to not attempt to accuse me of having a disability or possessing only a 7th grade education.

It really confirms what I have said from the beginning... you are an idiot. Honestly.

Well thanks for the spelling corrections, I apologize as I was replying from my phone so spell check was not available which I'm sure you use often. What I find comical is that I've had around 6 private messages telling me what an ass you are and to just ignore you, so i think its safe to assume that you have showed what a "Douche" you are long before I came along. Funny how one of the few words you may know how to spell is that one, but not surprising.

Not that I should even stoop to your level, but I put that as a thread subject to get some attention. Maybe I should mis-quote you like you did me. Again, only you seem bothered by it so apparently this forum is suppose to cater to you only? Being such a "Douche" (btw thank you for pointing out the proper spelling) has got to be hard work.

Do you even own a Ducati? Ive NEVER met a Ducati owner act as childish and foolish as you. Be gone, stay gone and just ignore my posts if you don't like them.

Congrats Lawenforcer...good move there for ordering the 2013 model...that should solve all the minor recalls we had on the 2012 series.

Enjoy your new pride and joy! Best V-Twin purchase ever! You wont regret it!

Try to keep your comments to bikes, not people - still waiting for the apology.

"Trauma" Sorry if i offended you about the autistic comment but thats how he was acting. I sure don't see you jumping in to tell that tool to keep the comments to just bikes and not people, so apparently he gets a pass to be an outright ....... but i cant make an observation because you get offended when the term "autistic" is used.
