Thanks Phl, and everyone else, sorry about the multiple posts, figured the Racing forum was the right spot. Details are that he was struck from behind by a tourist in a car and was thrown to the ground where he suffered a head injury. Although it is still early, he is in serious, but stable condition, which is a small sign of improvement.

Terrible news as he was doing better...but unfortunately a blood clot traveled and he passed unexpectedly. Never easy, but even harder since he was doing better.
