bang for the buck track car, I preferred my GTR over my EVO9... but all amazing machines!

You're also talkin about a car that costs 90-100k brand new which is more than double that of an evo and when you take into consideration performance parts and maintenance on a gtr vs an evo, there's no comparison. I am 100% certain that someone with enough balls and skills combined to push my evo to its limits would outperform a stock gtr and still have about $30k left in their pockets. If I could afford it, for sure I'd buy a godzilla but since I can't, I'll stick with my realistic ideal performance car.

Stock evo v stock GTR is no comparison.
Please don't tell me yours is a modded evo ;)
The evo is less ugly then the GTR

My toys that go with the Tri, Diavel and a Forty-Eight (yeah I like a bike to cruise down to the bar on the beach!).

The 355 I've had for 11 year by Ferrari standards I'm nuts as it's now clicked over 80k miles so worthless but I love it dearly.

And the R500 is the closest thing to a bike with four wheels and gives an amazing buzz. Its a unique one built originally by the Caterham head development engineer and is the only one with full independent rear suspension and sports a Cosworth touring car spec Duratec making just over 280hp normally aspirated and the whole car wet with half a tank of fuel weighs just 532kg. Did a 0-60 test of 2.78 secs on a race logic data logger!

Of course stock vs stock there's no comparison lol you're talkin about a 240ish whp stock evo X vs about 460ish whp stock gtr. I was talkin about "my" evo vs a stock gtr. Of course the evo is heavily modified.

There's no way I could push my evo to its limits. A mixed combination of fear and not enough seat time a.k.a. lack of skill.

Personally I think the GT-R is the best value on the road given its performance build quality and reliability...

Agreed, but most boring car I have ever owned. And mine was 1000hp. Sold it after 2 years and picked up a slow gallardo. Its not about the speed sometimes... Its about the experience and feeling of accomplishment when driving a difficult to drive vehicle well.

Interesting....Would you liken it to owning a Ducati versus a Japanese inline 4???

Having owned several Corvettes including the Z06 I had, I take a little issue. I bought my Z06 for just under $70K and with the Z07 performance package, admittedly more money, it has outrun almost all of the exotics at various "shootouts" that the magazines have run. The ZR1 is slightly faster, but a lot more money.

HAVING SAID THAT, I'm a huge car nut and I'm not biased towards any make/model. I fully appreciate the GTR and a lot of other cars out there. If I were really rich I'd own one of everything, and like my three bikes, I'm not into garage queens.

Even when I had the three cars and three bikes my rule is to try to ride/drive every one of them at least every 2-3 weeks. And except my daily drivers, they have all been ridden/driven hard. WAY harder than I can admit to because it's all on the back roads - but when no traffic is around and roads with good visibility.

You are entitled to your opinion..:).. I did preface my post by saying "Personally I think.." :D.. and personally I think the Corvette build quality is not close to the GT-R...

That's a close comparison, however some Japanese I4 bikes can be a lot of fun. More apples to apples...perhaps comparing a Panigale to a 996. Panigale is undoubtedly faster, but it's also easier to ride. But there's something about the dry clutch and older V-twins with no ABS/TCS/etc. that makes you work that much harder. Albeit slower, you feel like "wow what a day!" after you get home and hang up the suit.

Obviously nothing against the Panigale at all...imo it's the most raw and visceral riding experience available today with modern motorcycles. Hence why I have a 1199R in my garage.

Got it... and thanks for your input :)

This is what I take to Starbucks since my latte won't go anywhere on my Ducati...... ;)

I absolutely love the C6's. Almost pulled the trigger on a Z06 but I didn't like the interior and needed AWD. There's no argument with its performance though!

No problem. And another note...it was also the cheapest car to own I have ever owned. 2 years...modded to bits....sold the whole aftermarket package when I sold the car to bring it back to stock. 30k miles....

I lost $2k on the car itself. Yes two thousand dollars. Spent about another $3000 on maintenance in the 2 years time.

Cheaper than renting a camry.....GTR's hold their value very well.
