181 to 185 (cant remember) with relatively good tyres. Passenger footpegs taken off. Pther roadgears are on. Stock standard. Full tank. 1199S.

It isn't like you can cut the bike in half. When weighing the front wheel, it seems some weight from the rear half of the bike would still be felt and vice versa.

Weight balance between the axles is the issue - if it's close to 50/50, it should work

This is absolutely stunning!!!!! What kind of wheels? OEM monocoque? Is your SBK electronics remarkably lighter than the OEM stuff?

I use a 200kg (china) digital crane scale, I guess real accuracy is +/- 1lbs.

I have the Carrozzeria forged aluminum wheels on it right now. If I still had the BST's from last year, it would be 5 lbs. lighter than it is. It has the Motoholders subframe, and Pierobon front fairing bracket. The electronics dropped a lot of weight by ditching the entire stock wiring harness, ABS pump, etc. Also switched to 520 chain setup with the EK ThreeD lighweight racing chain and an AFAM Superlite billet aluminum rear sprocket.

Yeah don't need to know who is the size of an Ewok or built like Sasquatch as this doesn't mean much for what we can do with our bikes weight. Cant do much about a persons build other than not be a fat ... and put the doughnuts and McDonalds down...

For what it is worth, my 1299S weighs exactly 370lbs with no gas in the tank and no battery.

D&D Cycles took it out of the crate and are building it into a race bike. They weighed it before starting the project.

I will go with a lightweight Ballistic 12cel battery (2.4lbs). Which means even in stock form, the bike would have been around 385lbs with a battery and 2gal of gas.

I got 198 rear, 205 front using 1 scale. Full fuel. I have most of the lightened parts - lithium/forged mags/termi slips/alum axle/dozens of titanium bolts. So about 369 lbs no gas.

I tried the same method on my Porsche, but now the scale is flat as a pancake. :D
