Since no one had really written about this...wanted to get it out there. Owing to poor L foot function following pelvic fracture repair...I can't shift with my L foot. I had GP in San Diego install a Proshift electronic shifter and was out last Wed/Thurs/Fri riding at Chuckwalla...and raced Saturday. In addition to being thankful to be back at the track...I was so happy to be out on the bike! Shifter worked well...pretty cool just pressing index finger for up and thumb for down. Neutral finder didn't work, which may be due to improper placement of rod in the unit (must be 1" from either end to maximize function of magnets) and I did have one session where it wouldn't shift down out of 4th.... But 95% of the time it worked great. Oddly enough, Floyd from Dallas pitted next to me...he's got a prosthesis on the L and uses the Klicktronic unit and as an e-engineer feels it's quicker and more reliable. Both out of the UK. I was 1 second off my best time...and riding...so I was happy! Still hoping my function comes back but it's a slow process!
