The worst heat is radiating from exhaust headers. If you e.g. look at carbon heat shields (those without aluminum inner heat shields) you can usually see burnt carbon where the shield is closest to headers and around mounting points. Melted right side bottom firing is also quite normal (where the headers are close to firing). I have also seen burnt carbon rear fenders (usually happened during dyno times) at points closest to rear header. But I have never seen e.g. a burnt rear Cylinder Head “Carbon” heat shield. Peoples removing rear CH heat shields usually says that they do not feel any difference after removing it… Just my thoughts.

I was joking I don't understand why anyone would be far away from their bike that's all. Do you leave your bike in a parking lot and go shopping in a dept store?
I've gone out for rides either by myself or with people and my bike is never out of site. If I grab something to eat I eat outside if I get coffee I'm outside. It's not like I go to a movie leave my bike in the lot.
At home my bikes are in the garage or in the house.

At first i thought this was going to be a joke but then i realized you were serious:( I know its a Panigale and its the sexiest machine out there but cmon man, Its a f#$@ing bike LOL Live a little, thats why we have insurance

You are losing great moments in your life using your Panigale

100% agreed.
I love my bike more than anything but im not going to eat my meal outside by myself while the guys i rode there with are inside enjoying their hot meals and laughing their ..... off at me for being so ridiculous.

I cut the oem seat after I removed the cover, but I bought a customs seat cover. If I knew I would just cut directly through the oem cover. It would make the job easier.

Is your bike on the luimoto website?..

Tis true on the opposite site of the CH heat shield has stoppers that go over the CH bolts same as the radiator support frame.

I don't believe the 2012 model got these only 2013+ due to valve covers coming loose.

No the covers were added because people were complaining of the heat. Nothing to do with valve cover bolts loosening.

I personally know they are because I loctited the valve cover bolts myself. More so the left side then the right side.

That still has absolutely nothing to do with why the covers were added. The covers just locate themselves on the bolts to stay in place.
If you really don't want to worry about bolts loosening......safety wire.

Bolts have been loosening in Ducati's way before the Panigale was ever dreamt of.
