Is there an adjustment to shorten the throttle twist on the panigale? I'd like to make it the equivalent of like a 45mm rotation.

Thanks.

I have asked this question before and don't recall getting much of an answer.

With the Ride By Wire setup, I have been told that it can be changed within the ECU as one of the parameters... I believe Ducati Seattle was one of the people that offered to help out with this parameter. They also have re-flashed ECUs that they do.

For the record, I have not used any of these items so I cannot comment any further on the authenticity.

Yeah I had a dealership that I've used once, ( and I disliked) said it can be adjusted right at the throttle, but never said anything about the ECU, which even I thought would need to be adjusted so that the throttle bodies know how much to open with the ride by wire. So needless to say I didn't pursue it more with them.

I will start calling the more reliable dealerships that I know to see if there is a procedure.

the RS throttle is a 60° twister instead of the stock 85° .. so quit a bit shorter.. i have one on order. problem is that the Marelli bus needs to be changed into the stock loom ones... I can't wait to have it as i tend to hit full throttle only once or twice a lap...

the RS thottle is 1100 usd i think...

Thamer,

Are you using the 195Hi engine mode? That mode electronically tunes the throttle to come on much sooner than 195Lo.

Chris.

Of course. From the first time I hit the starter...lol. Truth be told because my bike was delayed in shipping from the U.S., I haven't had it on the track to see how much twist of the wrist it takes to top out.

From my experience, all the bikes I've owned, I have always needed to shorten the throttle rotation in order to get the power down quickly and completely....if that makes sense. So I was kind of fishing around as to what the solution would be if I was going to go this route.

Kope999r is killing me with the fine bits he is putting on his bike, as I wish I could readily do the same :)

How about that lil bit of slop? Any way to get that out?

While having the first service performed I asked the tech to do just that. I was informed that it can't be done due to the Rbw. I remain somewhat unconvinced that at least some of this annoying play couldn't be eliminated but haven't pursued further.

Actually, I know exactly what you mean. I recently took my CRF450 to the supermoto track, and I would have loved a shorter throttle. I pretty much had my elbow pointed straight up when I would close the throttle.

Chris.

Kope, what's the update on your throttle shortening project? Was it a success?

You can buy the EVO throttle from Corse with an adapter to fit the oem/sstk harness, works fine. It is very short !

Here is the price!

65410141A MANOPOLA BITRON SSTK EVO2014 CABLATA €. 760,00
5101A381A ADATTATORE BITRON EVO - CABLAGGIO SSTK €. 418,20

I do not think you can buy directly from Ducati Corse, but I am sure they have a dealer in USA ;)

update on the throttle i just destroyed in the latest crash :

it works a doddle indeed. takes some getting used to but only for about 2 laps... i glad i enjoy a smooth torque and power curve though... :)

it can go in the non SSTK loom as it did with mine. i'm looking to fix it shortly and should i have a solution, i'll be back..

the price Torerik indicates is spot on... :(

motion pro offers a great quick throttle. i have it on my ninja. only reason i dont have it on the pani is because i dont track it. they offer 4 settings its a quick change. 35 40 45 and 50. its called the revolver.
