I was looking around on the internet for up and down quickshifters for my 2015 S1000R and was looking around to find out whether the base 2015 1299 had a quickshifter that was up and down. I have the 2015 and it doesnt downshift. I know the base 1299 2016's quickshifter was up and down. Maybe the 2015 1299S had it and the base 2015 1299 didnt. Anyway while looking around I found this company https://www.motodracing.com/irc-components-ducati-panigale-up-down-quick-shifter And their quick shifter comes with something called auto blipper. Can someone explain what the auto blipper is or what is does and what benefits are there to it

The autoblipper allows you to downshift without using the clutch, simple as that.

I thought all 1299's had auto blipper? maybe you need to activate it in the menu?

It allows you to do clutchless downshifting, just hit the lever only. Helps with braking later and focusing on less things into the braking zone.

I have a 2015 1299 Base and it does have Up and Down shifting (Autoblipper) If that helps

You have to have the throttle completely closed to activate the auto blipper . Maybe that’s the issue you are having?

The base 2015 has an auto blipper? When I went the dealership a year ago I asked if the 2015 base 1299 had auto downshifting. I think the owner of the dealership said no. The 2016 base 1299 has it. The 2015 only had upshift. My 2015 BMW S1000R only has upshift. While my 2016 BMW S1000RR has both up and down shift

Ill check the DQS to make sure the auto blipper is on. Maybe thats the issue I was having. If it is on then maybe its a messed up wire on the shifter like someone mentioned from another post I read just now.
