Quick throttle for 2018 V4s

for the Ewire it was mentioned that it was really stiff once all put together, i had the same experience, once it was put together it got really stiff, it was crappy imho.. the housing that the ewire sits in was a little bit bent in the wrong direction (it actually had too much inward bend in it)causing a bit of a bind and rubbing so i had to tweak it a bit to get it to not rub in there, i polished the section inside the ewire housing where the rotating piece might touch .. then i polished the rotating piece inside the ewire housing.. then polished the inside of the throttle housing where the cam rotates to reduce friction, took me quite a while to get oil into the cable housing, in the end it feels the same as the original throttle, but theres not much reduction in total twist required for full throttle with either of the included cams from what i could tell, but idid not measure the throw in any way. i used the white cam, since the red one did not feel that much better... forcing some chain lube in the cable housing made the biggest difference in friction reduction but it took a while. i used a piece of clay wrapped around end of the cable housing and formed a makeshift funnel then filled he funnel with chain lube and let gravity do the work. , with the adjustable cable housing theres zero slop in it now.
i applied light coat of lithium grease everywhere i polished and anywhere there was or might be contact between any moving surfaces
i know most would send it back (it really was that bad) instead of going through the trouble i did but in my case i had to use the ewire for the space it freed up on the right clipon
the hardest part was figuring out where to mount the ewire housing. went back after i completely mounted it to do the above work, i just felt it should be at least like the oem throttle.

OK finally got around to installing the domino quick throttle. Install is a breeze, 5 minutes or less. No codes so far.

Haven't ridden the bike, but so far return spring is definitely much heavier, snaps back much more definitively than stock. Zero slop. Definitely 'feels' like quick turn to me? See video...

You’ll like it, I augmented mine with a bigger grip to make throttle modulation easier with gloves on

Alright people, finally fired up the V4 after a year! Domino throttle is a go for 2018s! works great and absolutely what I wanted from it.

Hope everyone is doing well and riding safe. Look forward to seeing the usual suspects at COTA this month! Getting hot in Texas, was 92 today on track!
