im confused as to why you would put a heavier fuel tank on the bike, and then either put a 899 subframe? or motoholders with modification?

just curious if you dont mind sharing!
 
Didn't want to keep the stock tank since its track only. The extra weight isn't a big deal. This isn't my race bike, it's just for fun and I like that it doesn't look like an R at a glance. Also, the bodywork, including the tank, will be pristine for resale or trade in. No plans for a different subframe. The front fairing stay had to go in order for the race fairings to fit right- different mirror location.
 
how did u fit the a 899 tank onto a 1199 subframe without modifying the tank.. they have different mounting brackets?

Ducati just launched the 15R at Imola today. Motorcyclenews.com is testing the 15R and will publish the full report on May 20.

That's great news SP! I picked up my S on Friday - took her out Saturday and taking tomorrow for another ride - it's seriously good, and I can barely imagine what your 15 R will be like.

From what I've read I think it has to be. Red line is now apparently 12500RPM. That's insane from such an oversquare 2 cylinder motor. I just need to find a good suspension guy to help me dial in that front end as good as my old 14R was.

How much larger is the range of adjustment on the NIX30 fork than the outgoing electric fork?

Damm nice one! Bring it by Peter Stevens next time your in town I'd love to check it out.

I got to make sure I don't ride their new S demo because I'll fall in love with the torque I got a taste for from my 1290 SUPER DUKE R.

Yeah. Will do. I was actually in PS on Saturday morning to buy a new Pinlock. I often see an R with Rizoma reservoirs out the front of PS - was that yours?
