I am thinking about getting an extra set of wheels to be able to run SC1 slicks on track. What are the popular options out there?

FYI. Stock V4S wheels, as sexy as they are, cost roughly $4700 apparently.. Insane!

Thanks for the feedback fellas. I won't be racing, yet :D Just track events. What's the downside of carbon wheels apart from ban from certain race organizations?

Typically can't run carbon wheels with most race orgs.

Actually the CMRA is one of the few orgs still banning them. They're allowed in WERA and most others. I've brought this up to the CMRA BoD's and was told that they would like to look into the rule again. Unfortunately they're dealing with bigger problems (lawsuits) right now.

Ahh, gotcha. Yeah, would be nice to see them forego that rule.

For the OP. I MAY have a set of Rotobox Boost carbon fiber wheels available soon ?? Not sure yet, If I can get the new wheel set in time to our next track day at the end of July.
Matt finish, Ceramic bearings. Back wheel will be Brand-new/unused ever, and the front has under 400 miles, ALL track use.....

PM me if interested. NOT sure if they will fit on a V4?? coming off a 18 1299FE..

Thank you. I am going with the new carbon BST split spoke wheels in Satin finish. The newly upgraded Superleggera wheel essentially. This one in the link below.

I learned a great deal recently about race wheels. Forged magnesium for example from OZ or Marchesini are over a year lead time! I think BSTs will work just fine for me. :)

Trying to figure out front brake rotors now..
