Is anyone racing on the 1000cc class with the V4?

Or is it going to be limited to those with an R?

Are you talking club racing or national/international series? In the USA, most club racing orgs top classes actually say "Unlimited OEM displacement" or something to that affect, even though most people generally assume the limit to be 1000cc for 4 cylinders. So shouldn't be many problems with any of the major orgs.

On the national scene, no, they don't fit the rules.

Yes, club racing, but the 1100cc is becoming a problem

Is ducati bringing out a club racer version? I mean, not everyone races for a living to need an R to go racing

I race CCS and WERA, the unlimited series is just that.. 99% ARE 1000 CC bikes and even some 750 and 600 guys race the Unlimited classes to pad their point totals...I believe not many people in the club racing series will buy the R just because the cost and the available parts track side when you crash...The R was made so it can be raced in the pro series of racing.. MOTA,WSBK,BSB are the main ones...

Isn’t the >1000 v4 the Broome class dilemma? F1 ok in wera, but i guess A is ruled out?

I raced A with the 1199, but that’s not a V4

No, A Superstock is still unlimited OEM displacement. His dilemma is he loses twin classes so with a 1000+ bike in SS trim, he's stuck with A superstock, Superbike and Formula 1. So only three races vs 4 with a twin. If he ran a C class bike he could run up and get a ton more races in depending on how he built them.

Ha, thanks!

I am done after 3 races. And those weren’t even back-to-back

Been a bit since I gridded up, but oddly enough I usually got faster as I got tired. Just get smoother and more efficient with body movement rather than trying to mimic Marquez body positioning. Didn't really understand the "why" until I took a couple Pridmore schools.

happened in my first ever solo (20 laps at barber on the SV). ran with Jackson Blackmon (he was still on the Moriwaki then), caught him after a while and made it to a 3 sec. gap. he was still a kid then.

i started with 1:45s and the last lap was the fastest with a 1:41 ... barely didn't do anything on the bike any more, other than laying flat on the tank.

Don't know if you're friends with Lloyd Bayley, but that dude is a Monster. Does 4h races on the ZX-10 solo. on worn dunlops ... Edit - he's also winning mostly against teams. Stunning.

Funny thing about how I know who he is. I knew of him as a trials bycicle rider before I even knew he raced motorcycles. The stuff he does on a bicycle is gravity defying. Makes total sense how he would crush it on a motorcycle.

Always thought it was 1200cc cap. There you go.
