The right side flap on the top of my radiator fan broke off should I replace it. Is it really necessary. It just folds when you turn the wheel

Just snap off the other side they don't do anything.

I actually wound up taking the other one out by pulling the pin and spring IMO it’s a crappy design feature you can’t turn the wheel if it snaps super dangerous
