I'm 40 miles from my dealers, so I'm pretty well spot on the mileage for this Fridays service.

Top of my list of questions is the dreaded smoke..... getting worse the more miles I've done......

Not good to hear, but the different grade regular running oil will be a positive factor.

Please keep us updated afterwards on the smoke issue. This will be my first Duc and I'm finding this problem quite unsettling.

My dealer told me that the dreaded smoke should disappear after the first 1'000km.

No offense to you or any dealers, but what do you think they're going to say? "Yeah, you just spend 27 grand on an oil burner?" As long as their story is legit, I'm ok. But I'd like some proof from actual owners that it goes away.

Someone told me just today that they reduced by 600 rpm the engine revs on the wstk bikes because of the engine failures.

Sounds no good for me... I'll take ma new Pani s this week ....

I'll get all the info I can guys. I'm by no means technical, but will do my best.

I didnt really care about the smoke issue (Im a smoker, so I cant be too judgemental about it!), but its starting to concern me to the point that I wont be putting down a deposit until the early adopters have verified that it will indeed go away after 1,000k's...

All guys I have seen with their Pani didn't have smoke issue.

"all"? How many are we talking about compared to the number on here? Dealers actually warn you about it on collection. Can't see why they'd do that if it's not a known issue.

I would have to double check, but I counted six people so far.

And as for no smoke issue, it means that they had smoke at first, and then it got out, and now, they don't have smoke anymore, engine cold or warm, on firing or during ride.

If you still got smoke after your first service, then you have a problem and are good to go back to your dealer asking for an explanation.

JayKay any word from the dealer? are you scheduled for today? Very curious to here about your situation. This is the first I heard the smoke continued to get worse

I'm hoping you hear some good news.

No I'm at the dealers on Friday. Today was K1300s service day.... One of those weeks!
