Rear light problem

Since fitting my Evotech tail tidy I've had an intermittent problem with the rear light. If I move the cabling about for the Evotech LED number plate light it will sometime make the rear light go on/off, but it doesn't seem to be the number plate light cable itself that at fault. I'm assuming there's a connector for the rear light somewhere in the tail section and its my guess that this connector is loose. Anyone had the tail section fairings off and know where this connector is?

While trying to diagnose this I also noticed a strange high pitched noise coming from the rear light assembly. Is this just mine? Its audible if you take the rear seat cover off and listen near the tools compartment.

Had to replace my rear brake light after a stone went though it. You need to remove both seats, and the left tail panel, you should see the connector with 3 wires slotting into the tail light unit.

Not heard any noises but then haven't really been listening!

Thanks, I'll whip that panel off and take a look. I'm gussing its loose from pulling the wiring about to fit the tail tidy.

Sorry to hear about the your rear light. That's bad luck.

Yep another £110 to the dealer! Going to see if I can get the other one plastic welded as a spare.

Should be pretty obvious where the connector is, guessing you're right it was pulled loose whe fitting tidy.
