Hey, I'm sure this will differ for a lot of folks, but looking for some recommendations for rear-sets. Looking for some opinions and first hand experience with different sets. Anything you might do differently next time around?

I've ran Sato on other bikes in the past and was relatively happy with them, but I'm open to anything really.

Couple of things I'm looking for:

1. Need GP shift
2. Lose the sloppy feeling from the stock shifter (looking for solid, precise and fluid operation)
3. Preferably less overall lever "throw" during shifts
4. Semi-adjustable from stock position for minor adjustments (nothing too crazy, but more options are better)
5. Prefer rear brake spring return
6. Option for rear brake light switch
5. Something that won't completely break the bank (best bang for buck, but I'm willing to pay if its warranted)

Anyway, chime in with what you're running, how you like it and the reason you chose to go that way.

Thanks!

I'm sure you'll get so many different answers on brands but these are what I sent with, and despite a little notchy beginning at first they broke in just fine for me.
They also come preset as GP Shift, and for those seeking standard shirt they easily switch over to that without buying extra rods or parts.
And if one can't find a color selection with all they offer, than your choices must be something in Pastel or something?

BellissiMoto - DucaBike Rearsets for the 1199 Panigale

Again, this was just what I chose and stuck it out with. Only advice I'd provide on these would be using Loctite on all bolts and nuts since they could vibrate off easily. :(

How do you like them overall? Did it clean up the loose/sloppy shifting completely? Did you spend much track time on them?

From the stock I hated still slippery pegs and wanted shorter throw. Decided to try to improve stock rearsets. So I made extra wing into stock lever:

Have had that now for a year. The throws are maybe half from original. Shifting is very precise when I remember to every now and then lubricate shifter rod. Finding neutral is a bit more difficult.

Also machined better pegs into stock rearsets. These are not folding and give excellent grip.

The total cost was next to nothing. And had a good reason to to something with garage tools. Now I am thinking about adding bearing between rearset and lever. But since throw is already so short, I am not sure if it brings advantage any more.

Given your perimeters (rear brake light switch etc.) it's hard to beat LighTech.

It's a nice to have, but not required honestly. If I'm braking, 99.9% of the time I'll be using the front, so not a huge big deal.

I've heard great things about the LighTech ones. I'm kinda leaning towards them atm.

That is awesome! Still not a huge fan of the stock lever itself, but that would solve most of my issues. The new pegs on the 1299 aren't terrible like the old 1199 ones, but I like the ones you retro-fitted on there.

i chose to go with CNC RPS rearsets and have been very happy with them. They tick all the boxes on your wish list as well.

These are pretty sexy, but $$$. These are at the top of the wish list as well. Especially like the Pramac replicas.

How do you like these so far? Is the shifting solid? How about the overall throw during a shift, same as stock or a bit shorter?

I really like these, just trying to justify spending the xtra money.

I like them a lot. The bearings are silky smooth - zero friction in movement. There are two positions on the shift pedal link arm and the top one is a fair bit shorter than stock for lever throw. As for price - contact Lyle at Belissimoto - they can be had for a pretty good discount. I went with the Pramac as well.

I went with Rizoma because of the shifter lever position adjustability. You can place the shifter lever in any position as well as adjust the toe piece. I have a left ankle fusion so I needed the shifter to be directly in-line with the foot peg.

I think this is the set I'll probably end up going with. Thanks for the referral to Belissimoto. I'll give Lyle a ring and see if we can get a set on the way.

Thanks for the pics and info, much appreciated.

My pleasure. Make sure you get Lyle on the phone. Sometimes you'll get someone else to answer and they may not have the ability to hook you up. I'll shoot you a PM with a bit more info.

I have the DP rearsets. I got them for a bargin.
The biggest thing That I dont like is the extra vibrations I feel on the open road at certain RPM/speed. Makes foot go numb.

I have a set of DP rear sets as paperweights. Ducati passes these things off as performance parts however the DC rear sets they supply WSBK have all the nice features(precision bearings) that the rear sets they sell us do not. For 1200 bucks, no thanks. Anyhow the CNC are nice. I went with Lightech R simply for simplicity and robust design.I machined my own brake and shift toe pegs to my liking. I like the fact that i have a direct lever to shift rod connection with no funky additional linkage. My very favorite rear sets are Attack and are set up the same but they do not make a set for this bike.

There are a set of woodcraft in gp shift for 400 in the classified section. The pegs and toe controls are on an esentric so lots of adjustability.

my Lightech R in reverse pattern is surgical. To be careful not to strip titanium bolts when playing with adjustments.. dremel helps though

CNC Racing

Good rearsets offering all that you ask for. In standard form you get two rod positions for road pattern changes and one for race pattern. The upper road position reduces the lever throw for me from 35mm to 20mm. There is a spare part available for use with race pattern that offers a second rod position. Do all of the bolts up with loctite (ask me how I know!). I have had a rod end fail but secured an equivalent but higher spec replacement for not very much money. Pegs all fold but can be locked using the supplied pins. Pegs are quite short and very grippy.
