Rear Shock Issue

Hello everyone,
New to the forum, did some digging first and couldn’t find anything. Maybe I didn’t dig hard enough. If there is a thread out there already existing I apologize for this, tag a link. But my rear shock seems to be “disassembling” itself? I’ll add a photo cause I feel like I’m going to use all the wrong suspension terminology but the cap that is inside the spring that keeps the nitrogen gas inside the solenoid has just come off. It looks like a press fit so I’m kind of baffled as to how it just comes off. I’ve been on vacation and work trips back to back so the bike has been on the stand and I haven’t messed with the rear shock ever. Regular trips to the shop for inspections and tune up’s. I came home, was moving the bike in the garage, and noticed it. Any thoughts?

I think that's the rubber bump stop. What bike? If it is what I think it is, it's normal.

It's not the rubber bump stop. The stop is to the very left of the picture.

If it's a 2023, take it to the dealer. It's under warranty. If you don't want to mess with it for whatever reason, take it off and send it to Ohlins USA for a rebuild.

Oh for sure. It’s definitely going. Have you heard of this happening before? Any potential causes?

That is just a cap that covers the retainer, it's a light tap fit normally, it doesn't hold nitrogen gas. Behind it there's a retaining nut that holds the the seal behind the piston, it should just pop back into place, not sure why it came out though they normally sit in quite snug

This is good news to read. I’m also curious why it came out.
