Phil I bought a new chain for mine,in talking to the supplier he told me his company prepare a race bike for somebody and at that time only Ducati Corse sprockets were available@ £200 each!!!!! This conversation was about 2 months ago and he did say Renthal have them in development. Take a look there first. Thats my 10 pence worth.

Thanks! That's pretty thin ... guess i'll have to stick with the standard for now. Haven't found anything except the AFAM quick change...

Is the sprocket and carrier the same off the 1x98? If it were to be, there would be the answer to if they make them yet?

Nope

Gman the 1098/1198 quick change carrier wont suit the Pani. I was gonna do that myself and got stopped by my chain supplier. He said the Pani sprocket is off set a few millimeters and I believe him. There is a much bigger gap between the Pani sprocket to get the hub/chain adjusting tool into than the old bikes. Renthal are sorting it out from what this good chap said.

Thanks for the info. That kinda sux for us. But I'm sure we'll have some more options on every accessory soon. I'm not looking for a sprocket upgrade yet but I wouldn't mind seeing a gold DID installed.

The 1098 quick change will absolutely fit. I had AFAM make a custom 41 tooth sprocket for a renthal quick change from my 1098R.

Motowheels sell a quick change hub for the 1199

Cheers

It bolts up, but did you check the chainline? Good way to destroy parts and get hurt if not. The 1098 sprocket I tried shifted the chain centerline significantly.

Check out drivesystemsusa.com. They now offer AFAM system for the 1199. I have the first 41T sprocket made by AFAM. It's been on order for about two months.

My mechanic was voted number one for all Ducati mechanic's in the us.

Ciao

Will a Tsubaki Sigma do for now?

Yeah consolidated you are dead right the chainline would be off with the standard spec 1198 sprockets. BUT 1098Rman says in his post that he had a custom sprocket made,so that would/should have sorted it. Probably would have been butt ugly tho with thick spacer blocks to achieve the off set lol;)
