Nothing every goes right. After getting all they things I needed to change my own flat tire, when it comes time to remove the wheel, I cant get the damn nut to budge. Impact wrench, 2 foot break bar. Practically standing on it with my 190lb mass. NOTHING. In fact it bent the damn wheel spin stopper thing on my t-rex stand. I PB Blasted it and let it sit for 30 min nothing. WTF

i know your pain.

torch / breaker bar / impact wrench didn't work one time.

i had to crack the nut.

won't happen again.

try this:

get a friend (or 2) to help you.
have bike off rear stand.rear wheel on 2x4. tie it down on several spokes.

have a friend sit on the bike and push the rear brake. (1st gear not recommended and not required in this procedure) have the other friend making sure the socket is flush on the nut.

try again with longer breaker bar and have an extra wrench in place.

just in case call dealer in advance if they have a new nut in stock.

You just need more force, 2 ft breaker bar prob wont do it, stick a pipe on that thing to get more leverage

Thanks for the comments. I let the pb blaster sit over night. Gonna head to home depot for a 5ft or more pipe and torch it for one last try before heading to the dealer

dealer won't help, as said in my old thread, the tech there bent and broke his $400 lifetime warranty snap-on wrench.

get the 5 ft. 2x4 and have the bike strapped down on it .

you can also roll the rear wheel against a wall, but make sure someone is sitting on it and hitting the rear brake.

best of luck!

Get an Impact wrench and save yourself the grief - $40 for an electric impact from harbor freight. Take you 2 seconds to undo the nut.

All mine and all my friends just came off with an impact gun. Are you sure you removed the lock ring?

I had to pick up an impact wrench for my compressor to get mine off when changing my wheels. Works at 150 ft lbs in reverse it it took WD-40 and between 5-10 minutes to get it off. I'd let the impact wrench work on it, spray it, rotate the wheel, impact wrench, and repeat. Made sure to clean it, grease it up, and torqued it to 150 ft lbs since that was as high as my torque wrench goes and installed the clip. Manual calls for 170 ft bls but I'm sure during my last "dealer service" they just let their impact wrench go to town.

And this is why nobody ever touches my wheels of any vehicle I own. Removal with impact is fine. Installation is lazy and can almost always cause problems.

Odd- I had the EXACT damn issue with mine way back!

After trying all of the above, plus a manual impact driver , stripping a socket, i ended up using an air gun over n over to crack it just enough! Friggin PITA!!!

I had the same exact issue a week ago, it would not came off. I tried with the longest lever possible and I bent it. Then I tried with an air compressor gun and it didn't work either until I decided to start on the other side. I got the carrier nut loose and I managed somehow to get the wheel nut off. It has been a big fight, I had to use the gun for 10 min straight on the nut before it gave up.

Try that one and let me know if it works for you too.

I tried with my air impact and didn't budge. Although mine is not exactly a heavy duty gun. Niether is my compressor. I have a 6 foot pipe. Just need a helping hand now cause I can't do it myself

Thanks for the suggestions. Combo of pb blaster, butane torch and a 6 ft iron pipe over the break bar strapped to a 2x4 and my 100lb girlfriend standing in the brake did the job. New tire on and moly greased the nut

heavy duty air impact gun did the trick for me the first time and 2nd time.
But the first time wow that thing is tighter than it needs to be.
