It's on tight 172ft/lbs. I use and impact driver on my 1098, 1299 and Multistrada and a SpeedyMoto socket designed for just this purpose

yea get this makes the job very easy but you will need a torque wrench to tighten.
Step on the rear brake and try to use this tool best tool I've ever used for it. I also use a rear stand with the cross tube that hold the wheel either way.
No more braking my torque wrench.

Never use a torque wrench to loosen a highly torqued bolt - only to torque to spec A $20 breaker bar from Amazon or Harbor Freight works just fine!
That’s a Stanley Steel Custom tool from Netherlands. $350.00 but is worth every single penny. I learned the hard way after braking my $600.00 dollar Torque wrench.

They are actually made by UHR-TEC in Denmark, and by the sounds of it,
then marked up in considerably price by the Dutch sellers.

All of Ulf's work is first class and fairly priced for what it is, and he is a damn
nice chap in person too.
If a breaker bar isn't doing the trick, a decent electric or air-powered impact wrench will do it. Use a torque wrench to put it back on - not the impact. Keeping the threads and stuff properly greased should help for the next time around.
Yes but it won't look as cool as that nice looking tool he got from Europe.
Any impact wrench will damage any nut does not matter how good you are with it. This bikes require special attention. IMO.
