Rearset help for a newbie

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I have narrow down the Ducabike or Lighttech as well. Can anyone tell me how far you can move the pegs up for both?

I'd of thought that sato would be best for shorter guys.

Up by 30mm and can go forward too.... Between 5mm to 25mm I believe.

Have any of you had trouble with the Ducabike rearsets having a "heavy shift" in standard ??? I just installed these and it amount of force it takes to up and down shift is troubling....

Yes but it wears in. Make sure you lube the heck out of the pivot bolt. I had an issue with the bolt backing out so I finally used threadlock red and all is well

installed new rearset on Standard 2014 1199 need help trouble shooting.

I got it put together & come to find out it went to reverse" GP style shift patter" by accident but it also doesn't find 5 gear & 6. I'm not sure what I have to adjust & i'm a bit frustrated because it took forever to screw on the pivot joint from the shift linkage to the peg. Is there an easier way? Help!

The above advice is all good. Isn't it great to have choices!

I have just installed the DP rear sets which with no additional purchases allow
* std pattern shift or reverse pattern shift by simply using one linkage over another
* two functional positions high and not so high
* normal shift speed / sensitivity and faster shift speed / sensitivity
additionally the pegs are shorter and grippier allowing a greater lean angle before finding tarmac.
* depending on desired use you can even lock the pegs in a rigid state for race use verses the ability to bend up when you find max lean angle! ( I get excited just thinking about it)
* adjustable angle for your brake lever
* adjustable length on your gear change lever to suit your foot size
Machined out of billet aluminium they look superb with beautiful machine marks and laser etched part no's with manufacture dates on each separate component.
Class, Style, Functionality, Beauty and QUALITY second to none!

I did have an interference issue with the Carbon Heal Guard against the Termignoni Heat Shield. I added pictures below to show what had to be trimmed and then an overall shot to show completetion.

Drove it last night and had to make a few small adjustments. I will dial them in over the next couple rides to get everything exactly where I want them.

Very easy install, good instructions and real nice quality!

truth be told i have duca bike rear sets. i like how they are adjustable and the pegs are so grippy. throw in that they have gp shift built in they are great. lots of color choices too. that being said as much as i love them if i had to do it over i would just buy pegs call it a day

I love my Rizoma but make sure if you or shop installs it to put loctight on those bolts...... my shift arm came off my bike when riding and lost drove home stuck in 4th gear

gunny this sounds familiar right.

Went with Ducabike.

(EDIT)

They weren't too bad to install and seem to work perfect. I run GP shift pattern so this was a plus to order the Ducabike.
