Yes - i searched before posting - if i missed an article i am ok with being scolded but i did search

'14 1199R 2,999 miles.

Took my bike home from work on Friday; this morning, Monday tried to start it after pulling it out of the garage and it would sound like it wanted to crank after hearing the bike prime but would not.

After a couple of attempts it threw a Red Engine Error and the Side-Stand message was flashing with the stand up.

Anyone else have this issue? I pulled it into the garage and put it on a battery tender just in case it was a low battery(I did not get a battery error)

Before pulling the bike in on my last few attempts to start it, it wouldn't even crank over.

I checked the oil level, it was at the top line for max. It is not giving a BBS error.

Quick update -

Went home on lunch after charging for 4 hours on the tender - bike started right-up

any ideas

These computer controlled vehicles do all sorts of weird things when the battery gets too low. I think I may have had something similar a couple of years ago on my 13 but I can't remember the exact details.

@SuperDuc- yeah - for all the great things the computers help to drive- the complications are some times bigger headaches- (especially when they have to deal with the heat the duc puts out!

Hopefully just a low battery - i was going to look at Li batteries next year but may as well do it now.

I thought about for a bit but stayed with the conventional OEM type battery - Yuasa mainly because I didn't want to replace my battery charger.
