Since I don't have a power outlet in my garage I have to remove the battery from the bike and plug it in the trickle charger in my basement.

Other than the fiddly job of removing the fairing, is there a downside to removing the battery from the bike ? (ECU-programming-wise) ?

JBS-

Just another piece of gear to consider - whether you remove the battery or not. I have owned this product thru two Superbikes now, and its performed SO well I pretty much posted this on every thread involving batteries and winter storage! :)
There are several links to other threads within this one for ya too - including the POC I obtained mine from as well. This item will FOR SURE retain your OEM battery both INSIDE the bike (If you ever get power in garage) or removed from it as you do now.

Just thought I would share with you as one more thing to keep a Superbike = SUPER!! :)

Thank you Gunny.
Every Panigale R (Li-battery) comes with a battery maintainer from the factory, so I'm using that one. I think it's from Skyrich.

Can't you put a car battery next to your bike?
