Hello everyone

Recently I bought a slightly damaged Ducati Panigale 959, 2017 from an US auction.
The bike was listed on action as with keys, but unfortunately it was shipped to me without keys.

Looks like right now I have to options:
- cut and re-program a new key - nobody in my area is providing this service for Ducati
- replace the ignition system and all locks

My question is, if I'm choosing to replace the ignition system with a brand new one 59821531A do I need to get my bike to Ducati dealership and re-program the ECU or it will just work ?

Note: The nearest Ducati dealership is far away from me (in the neighboring country) and it's gonna be a PITA to have my bike taken to them.

Best thing to do is just buy a new ignition/mobilizer which includes 2 matching already programed keys. Install it on bike and be done nothing else to do.

Thank you Mick for replay
Yes, thats seems to be right now the cheapest and fastest way to solve this problem.
I was only concerned that the new ignition/immo wont work with the ECU and it will need some additional work to be done

Its weird that is that easy to just replace this part and get everything running. From my point of view then the immo makes no sense if it can be just replaced

Does anyone know how to remove the plastics on each side of the ignition switch on a 959?
