Word of caution:
I had these for my '11 s1k. The points where the bag made contact with the tail fairing where showing signs of abrasion on the bags. The paint was fine. But after about 4 months of use, the bags had the outer protective layer worn thru.

Twisted Throttle offered to replace them. But some d-bag swiped them off my bike during a pit stop. My concern was over time it would definitely start to eat the paint.

Thanks for sharing the review (I know old bump)

Just want to clarify the passenger pegs can work with the bracket. And is there some sort of lock to leave bags on bike?

Yes passenger pegs work and no lock not unless you get luggage lock to lock the zippers. I typically take the bags with me when I get off the bike.

Just went on a ride last month with the bags and loaded them up with a set of coilovers for my car. They fit and did the job.

Thanks, Also I have a plate bracket back there, do you think that will work?

I tried and couldn't get it to work--at least not in a way I felt comfortable with.

Looks like a great system--just not for us with the full Akra system.

They're tough, really tough!

I've had a set of these for over 6 months / 6000kms of abuse on my 899. All but heavy rain won't penetrate them and they are stable at least to 270km/h.

Yesterday i forgot to clip them... and they came off! On a busy hwy at 130km/h. Nobody ran them over thankfully but they were full of gear and only suffered some minor abrasions. Very impressed!

Can they fit a helmet?

The bags would be too small to fit a helmet?

I've manage to squeeze in a Small sized Shoei GT, but it's a serious squeeze for emergency only even for a small, but possible.

Do these fit on ducati 1199 r or just the standard and s model as trying to see if they will fit or not and not having much luck

Ill have to back pack it I've got a great caribee that straps on nice and tight. Won't be perfect but come one who in there mind puts panniers on a Panigale???????? It's like taking Miranda Kerr out for dinner and making her wear a bomb suit............

I'd gladly have Miranda Kerr ride on my Monster without a bomb suit.

I put the Ducati panniers on my wifes Supersport S they will expand enough to fit your helmet have rain covers the bonus being I do not have to carry a backpack now when we tour.
