Hi:

I installed Rizoma rearsets on my 959 several months ago. I can’t tell if they can be converted to GP shift. I’m willing to buy GP shift rod kit if that will let me do it.

Thank you!

I’m not sure. I’m hoping someone on here has experience doing this. My main concern is messing with my clutch less upshifting ability. I have a 2018 959 corse.

I might be the guinea pig.

This thread had a lot of answers for me:

I got the HM QuickShifter on its way, then I’m switching over to GP shift. Just makes more sense to have gravity help slam the lever down on upshift cause I like ripping through the gears real fast

what r u gonna do?

okay. I've done even more research and I'm not giving up.... yet. For those keeping score at home, the Rizoma rear sets are actually designed to be run regular shift or GP (reverse) shift. My bike is currently getting serviced, but I'll tinker with it when I get it back. Here are some links that I found helpful:

The product description provides in relevant part: "reverse gear shift lever included."

This statement is confirmed by Rizoma's catalogue in the the footnotes:

The question is now whether I need the narrower quick shift rod:

I just installed the reverse shift or GP shift on my Rizoma rearsets. 959 owners MUST use the narrower shift rod, knuckle, and electric mechanism (see above post). It works like a charm and I’m very happy with this mod.
