I ordered the adapters "that don't work" and am installing this weekend so I'll let you know.

forget the install capt once its done you will see they are the nicest looking mirrors around. take some getting use to though. Oh yea they actually work slightly to actually see

So these mirrors allow for better rearwards vision than the stock?? I thought I read somewhere that they didn't???

ummmmm rearward not really. side yes. they are good for changing lanes. if you want to look behind you they dont work. your shoulders and arms get in the way. the stock ones are better for behind you but at speed they shake so much. i dont care whats behind me but i want to know i can switch lanes without turning my head. although now that i say that i like to see if there is a cop behind me. whatever though its look for cops or look for cars next to you you cant do both.

Installed the mirrors tonight, but it's too early to really give a verdict. I was able to get in a quick 30 minute ride, but half of it was in darkness so I'll give it a proper test tomorrow and report back. I played around with the connectors and all the doodads that came in the boxes, but ultimately decided to do the "Mark method" and just clip the connectors off the stock mirrors and then solder those to the end of the Rizoma bare wires. I left some slack in there and adhered that to the underside of the fairing beneath the mirrors in case I decide to route it differently later, but for now it works and, IMHO, doesn't look any worse than all the other wires all over the place on the bike.

From an aesthetic perspective, I agree with Mark, Eddie and Cali. They look great. I'll post up a pic or two later. The turn signals are bright and look a lot nicer than stock, IMHO. From a visibility/usage perspective I will have to play with them more tomorrow. I didn't Loctite anything so I can move them around a bit, but they seem to be similar to my other Rizomas in that the glass is exceptionally clear and high quality. They do not vibrate at all like the stock mirrors so from that perspective they are a definite improvement. Due to the shorter stalk, as Mark and Cali pointed out, you cannot see behind you nearly as well as you can with the stock mirrors. With the bike standing still the stock mirrors provide much more rear visibility. That being said, once you get up to any decent rate of speed the stock mirrors vibrate so much that I couldn't really use them for much so I actually think these are an improvement even if I can only use the bottom right corner to actually see behind me. I'll take them out tomorrow with a hex in my pocket and do a proper adjustment, but so far so good.

Thanks for the comments, they seem very much like my own in relation to the FAR mirrors. CRGs remain the most functional in my opinion.

Personally, I don't really care for bar end mirrors on the superbikes. Not sure why, just personal preference. I also think the bike looks odd with no mirrors. Maybe too many years looking at standard sport bikes, but it looks like something is missing with no "antlers".

I did two long rides on Sat with the Rizomas and I think they are an improvement over stock. I can see behind me in the lanes to the left and right of me perfectly clearly even at faster than normal highway speeds. I do have to shift my head to the side a bit or move my arm if I am not tucked to see directly behind me, but that's not much different than other aftermarket mirrors I have had on other bikes in the past. IMO, the increase in clarity and the lack of vibration is worth the head tilt to see behind me. At least when I do I can actually tell what is behind me.

I won't post up pics since everybody else already did, but they do look really nice on the bike.

this is also a fact. 2 panis can have 2 different electrical connectors. just cut the stock mirrors off solder it on takes 2 min. you can hide the wires without removing the front cowl.
i love everyone telling how its done and they dont even have the mirrors. i know eddie has them i have them and cali has them. cali and myself installed them ourselves. not sure about eddie

If you install them like that, how do you remove (and reinstall) them for track days?
